The Power Connector FLARM RJ45–RJ12 allows devices with a 6P6C RJ12 connector, such as the FLARM Mouse, to be integrated into an RJ45-based avionics installation.
The adapter converts the physical connector while routing power, ground and the serial RS232 interface (RX/TX) to the correct pins. This allows a FLARM Mouse to receive both power and data through a single RJ12 cable, while remaining compatible with the RJ45 wiring used by many flight recorders and avionics systems.
Since an RJ12 plug fits mechanically into an RJ45 socket, the adapter provides a simple and reliable way to connect RJ12 devices to existing RJ45 installations without modifying the aircraft wiring.
The internal wiring also bridges the required ground connections, ensuring compatibility with RJ45 devices that support GND only on Pin 1 and not Pin 2.
