The device features a robust, black anodized aluminum housing, providing excellent shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI) for quiet, reliable transmission. The compact design is only 35 mm high, and it comes with a standard 5.7-inch display. It can be powered directly from a 12V onboard electrical system. Power consumption is approximately 4 watts (300 mA at 12.8V), with a brief 15% increase during processor-intensive tasks like zooming.

The system runs on Android 13, complete with the Google Play Store, allowing you to install Android apps directly. Supported wireless interfaces include Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth (BT4.0). For connecting avionic hardware with serial interfaces, the device features three IGC-compatible serial ports (1x DTE, 2x DCE), configurable to support all baud rates supported by XCSoar.

Connectivity Features:

• Four multi-channel USB-A 2.0 ports on the rear and one LAN port for additional devices, such as remote controls.
• One USB-A 3.0 port and one USB-C port located on the bottom.

A virtually silent internal fan ensures optimal cooling of the CPU, even during extended use on hot days. While likely unnecessary in cooler regions, the fan can be unplugged internally in areas where it’s not needed.

• The device comes with two standard mounting holes for a 1-inch ball mount for easy installation.
