Product Description:

Included in the Box:

  • Power Cable
  • 30 cm flexible LAN cable (70 cm available upon request in the order notes)
  • 50 cm Power-Split LAN cable (for connection of self powered gadgets, e.g. Power Flarm, XCVario)
  • USB-C 90-degree adapter

The device features a two-part housing: one section for the display and the other for the electronics, with effective shielding against electromagnetic emissions (EMI) for quiet, interference-free transmission. It is only 44 mm deep, and with dimensions of 84 x 84 mm (height and width), and an active display area of 72×72 mm. It is designed to fit into a standard 80 mm instrument cutout. The device can be powered directly via 12V from the onboard electrical system. The power consumption is approximately 2.4 watts (250 mA at 12.8V), with a brief 15% increase under processor load (e.g., during zooming).

The device comes with Android 11, including access to the Google Play Store, where Android apps can be installed directly.

Connectivity Features:

  • Supported wireless interfaces: Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth (BT4.0).
  • For connecting avionics hardware via serial interfaces, the device features two IGC-compatible serial interfaces (2x DCE), which are 1:1 compatible with Flarm and can be configured to support all baud rates used by XCSoar.

Additional Ports:

  • Two multi-channel USB-A 2.0 ports on the rear for further connectivity, such as external devices like remote sticks.
  • USB devices can be powered from the USB-A ports, providing up to 0.5A current (2.5W).
  • Two 3.5 mm jack connections: one for audio output.
  • A stereo power amplifier with 3 watts output is available via these two 3.5mm mono jack ports on the rear.
  • An internal speaker with 2 watts of power provides clear audio, useful for tasks such as airspace warnings.

A rear view with connection ports is available in the gallery. Alongside the audio jacks, there is a pre-connected 12V DC power cable.

Technical Specifications:

  • CPU Board: 16 GB Flash memory, 2 GB RAM, and an energy-efficient 1.8 GHz Quad-Core CPU. A microSD card slot allows for additional storage.
  • Display: The 480 x 480 pixel display offers almost 1200 nits of brightness (extremely bright). Thanks to IPS technology, it provides excellent contrast for good readability even in sunlight, with an anti-glare coating for optimal visibility from nearly all angles, including flat viewing angles. The display is a multi-point touchscreen, making it easy to use for complex tasks such as pre-flight planning and setup.
  • weight only 205 g

Pre-installed Software:

  • XCSoar is pre-installed and should start automatically. Our navigation system delivers significantly better performance and is more user-friendly compared to other systems available on the market.

This compact yet powerful device is ideal for avionics, offering superior connectivity options, high brightness, and intuitive touch functionality, making it the perfect tool for navigation and flight planning.
