The housing is split in two parts for the display and the electronics and features shielding of EMV emissions for quiet transmission. It is only 44 mm deep and just 84×84 height and width, designed to fix in a standard 80 mm instrument cut-out and can be supplied directly with 12V from the on board electrical system. The power consumption is around 2.4 watts (250 mA at 12.8V), briefly around 15% higher e.g. when zooming under processor load.

The device comes with Android 11 incl. Play Store, android apps available in play store can be directly installed from there. Supported wireless interfaces are Wifi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth (BT4.0),  and to connect avionic hardware with serial connection only, there are as well two IGC compatible serial interfaces (2xDCE) 1:1 compatible with a Flarm and configurable for all baud rates supported by XCSoar.

Two multichannel USB-A type 2.0 ports on the back offers further connectivity e.g. for remote sticks.  USB Devices can be powered from the USB-A ports, a maximum of 0.5A current can be drawn from there (2.5W), and two 3.5 mm jack sockets. A stereo power amplifier features 3 watts power, accessible via this two 3.5 mm mono jack sockets on the rear. An internal speaker with 2 watts already offers acceptable audio, for example for airspace warnings. The CPU board has 16 GB Flash memory, 2 GB Ram, a power-efficient 1.8 Ghz Quad-Core CPU, a micro SD memory card can be added. The display with 480 x 480 pixels has almost 1200 nits (very bright) and thanks to IPS technology a very good contrast for good sunlight readability, has an anti-glare coating and is equally easy to read from almost all angles, including flat angles. The display is designed as a multipoint touchscreen and is therefore easy to use for complex inputs such as pre-flight planning and setup.

XCSoar is pre-installed and should start automatically, our navigation system has  significantly more performance and user-friendliness than other system available in the market.

Es ist nur 44 mm tief und nur 84 x 84 hoch und breit, für den Einbau in einen Standard-Instrumentenausschnitt von 80 mm konzipiert und kann direkt mit 12 V aus dem Bordnetz versorgt werden. Der Stromverbrauch liegt bei ca. 2,4 Watt (250 mA bei 12,8V), kurzzeitig ca. 15% höher z.B. beim Zoomen unter Prozessorlast.

Das Gerät kommt mit Android 11 inkl. Play Store, im Play Store verfügbare Android-Apps können direkt von dort installiert werden. Unterstützte drahtlose Schnittstellen sind WLAN (802.11b/g/n) und Bluetooth (BT4.0). Um Avionik-Hardware nur über eine serielle Verbindung anzuschließen, gibt es außerdem zwei IGC-kompatible serielle Schnittstellen (2xDCE), die 1:1 mit einem Flarm kompatibel sind und konfigurierbar für alle von XCSoar unterstützten Baudraten.

Zwei Mehrkanal-USB-A-Typ-2.0-Anschlüsse auf der Rückseite bieten weitere Konnektivität, z. B. für Remote-Sticks. USB-Geräte können über die USB-A-Anschlüsse mit Strom versorgt werden, von dort kann maximal 1 A Strom entnommen werden (5 W) und zwei 3,5-mm-Klinkenbuchsen. Ein Stereo-Leistungsverstärker mit 3 Watt Leistung ist über die beiden 3,5-mm-Mono-Klinkenbuchsen auf der Rückseite zugänglich. Eine Ansicht der Rückseite mit den Anschlussplatinen finden Sie in der Galerie. Ein interner Lautsprecher mit 2 Watt bietet bereits ein akzeptables Audio z.B. für Luftraum Warnungen. Neben den Audiobuchsen befindet sich dort ein direkt angeschlossenes Kabel für 12-V-Gleichstrom.

Das CPU-Board verfügt über 16 GB Flash-Speicher, 2 GB RAM, eine energieeffiziente 1,8-GHz-Quad-Core-CPU, eine Micro-SD-Speicherkarte kann hinzugefügt werden. Das Display mit 480 x 480 Pixeln hat knapp 1200 Nits (sehr hell) und dank IPS-Technologie einen sehr guten Kontrast für eine gute Lesbarkeit bei Sonnenlicht, ist mit einer Anti-Glare-Beschichtung versehen und aus fast allen Winkeln, auch flachen Winkeln, gleichermaßen gut ablesbar. Das Display ist als Multipoint-Touchscreen konzipiert und daher für komplexe Eingaben wie die Planung und Einrichtung vor dem Flug einfach zu bedienen.

XCSoar ist vorinstalliert und sollte automatisch starten. Unser Navigationssystem bietet deutlich mehr Leistung und Benutzerfreundlichkeit als andere auf dem Markt erhältliche Systeme
